A Center for Black History, Culture, and Education

The Margaret E. Peters House is a community-based space for preserving Black history, celebrating Black culture, and cultivating Black futures. Honoring the legacy of Margaret E. Peters, the house brings together archives, research, literacy, publishing, storytelling, education, and creativity to document and share the histories of Black people and neighborhoods. It is a place where community stories are preserved, new stories are created, and history becomes a resource for empowering future generations.
